EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of today's action will enable the County to enter into a five-year Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) revenue agreement with CDPH in order to improve and enhance our local health jurisdiction's preparedness for and response to all hazards, bioterrorism, outbreaks of infectious diseases and other public health threats and emergencies.

This Agreement terminates on June 30, 2027. Appropriations have been included in the approved Fiscal Year 2022-2023 budget and future fiscal years will be budgeted accordingly.

If not approved, the County would not receive the revenue and would be unable to support the mandated programs.
