Director of Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Revenue Agreement No. 230304B with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) in the amount of $2,242,914 for the term July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2027, for public health preparedness activities.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of today's action will enable the County to enter into a five-year Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) revenue agreement with CDPH in order to improve and enhance our local health jurisdiction's preparedness for and response to all hazards, bioterrorism, outbreaks of infectious diseases and other public health threats and emergencies.

If not approved, the County would not receive the revenue and would be unable to support the mandated programs.
