Director of Corrections requests approval of and authorization for the Chair to sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 200188B with Western State Design extending the term of the agreement to June 30, 2025 with the same contract maximum of $20,000 for maintenance of commercial laundry equipment.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Today's action authorizes an Amendment with Western State Design to extend the term of the Agreement for providing commercial laundry equipment scheduled maintenance and repair for Napa County Department of Corrections. Corrections has been satisfied with the service provided and would like to continue utilizing their expertise.

Future fiscal impact:
Service and maintenance to the commercial laundry equipment are budgeted in the Department of Corrections and will continue to be budgeted accordingly in future fiscal years.
Consequences if not approved:
If this amendment is not approved, the Department of Corrections will not be able to provide laundry service to inmates as Western State Design is the only company in California that is licensed to service the commercial laundry equipment currently in the downtown jail.
